| INTRODUCTION The present paper forms the continuation of a series pretending to cover at least most of the Surinam representatives of loricariid armoured catfishes (for earlier papers, see Boeseman, 1968, 1969, 1971, and 1974), but for various reasons it is less extensive in scope than its forerunners. | The purpose of this paper is twofold: (a) To analyze the effect of some common agricultural programs on the planted area of a crop. This will be done with the framework of a simple model mostly by graphical methods. (b) To comment on an estimative procedure by which a support price, which is linked to acreage restrictions, is transformed to an "effective support price." Three programs will be analyzed, namely, unlinked support price, link support price and diversion payment. |

| A synopsis is given of the genus Osmoxylon, Araliaceae, in Malesia and the Bismarck Archipelago, including also one species of the Solomon Islands. In the introduction arguments are given why the genus Boerlagiodendron is merged with Osmoxylon. In all 41 species are recognized and are keyed out. Of each species the synonymy is given, as well as the distribution and collections examined; sometimes critical notes on affinity and variability are added. Two names of which the types are apparently lost and which could not be satisfactorily placed are added as insufficiently known. | Estudaram-se os efeitos da aplicação de sulfato de amônio e reguladores de crescimento no peso médio dos frutos de tomateiro (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) cultivares "Angela" e "Roma". Em dois ensaios efetuou-se a aplicação de (NH4)2 SO4 (2g/l solo), SADH 3000 ppm, SADH + (NH4)2 SO4, CCC 2000 ppm, CCC+ (NH4)2 SO4, GA 100 ppm, GA + (NH4)2 SO4, além do tratamento controle. Em outros dois ensaios, além do controle, realizou-se a aplicação de 1-(2,4-diclorofenoxiacetil) -3,5- dimetil pirasol 3,75, 15,00 e 7,50 ppm, e de CEPA nas concentrações de 500, 1000 e 1500 ppm. | Estudaram-se em condições de casa de vegetação, os efeitos da aplicação de reguladores vegetais no crescimento do tomateiro cultivar "Miguel Pereira". Além do tratamento controle, aplicou-se, 44 dias após a semeadura, cloreto de (2-cloroetil) trimetilamônio 2.000 ppm, ácido succínico -2,2-dimetilhidrazida 3.000 ppm e ácido giberélico 100 ppm. Observou-se que o GA promoveu maior crescimento, em relação ao controle. O crescimento do tomateiro mostrou-se mais reduzido nas plantas tratadas com CCC e SADH, com relação àquelas pulverizadas com GA e plantas controle. |

| During ovogenesis the ovary of Carcinus maenas shows a continuous accumulation of Fe, Cu, Mg, Mn and Co. For Zn the accumulation seems to stop for gonad indexes near 6.5. The goal of this accumulation is not determined. Nevertheless we suppose that it is in relation with the role of organic reserves that possess the female sexual cells in decapods and with the synthesis of enzymes and hemocyanin. | Sous l'action de la houle les sédiments peuvent être soumis à différents mouvements se traduisant par de simples oscillations sur place, des déplacements dans le profil perpendiculairement à la côte ou un transit littoral dont la direction et l'importance dépendront essentiellement des caractéristiques de la houle, des matériaux et du profil des fonds. La nombreuse documentation disponible sur ce sujet pourrait faire penser que ces problèmes sont bien connus et qu'il suffit d'appliquer un certain nombre de formules existant dans la littérature pour avoir une réponse précise sur le comportement des galets, graviers, sables ou vases répartis à différentes profondeurs du pré-continent. |
